Songvak Rest-Hut is located at the west of Simbai. The Songvak village is safe and the people are very hospitable and friendly. The guesthouse is very basic and built out of bush materials. There are 7 single rooms, 9 double rooms, and 11 family quarters. The surrounding area and yard are beautiful and in a vast jungle setting. They provide a kitchen, a dining hall, an open fire cooking place, a resting area, and basic shower and toilet blocks. Other tours that the guesthouse can facilitate are traditional singing performances, village tours, and many more. To get there, you can fly to Mt Hagen, book a flight with MAF and fly to Simbai. You take a short walk to Songvak guesthouse from the airstrip.
