Kulau Lodge Beach Resort Situated right on the beach of Talili Bay over-looking Rabaul’s volcanoes, this little hideaway is the perfect spot to relax and get away from it all. Just 15 minutes away from Rabaul and 30 minutes from Kokopo. We do land & boat tours, fishing, snorkling, boat trips, conferences, catering, and more. We have:- 7 self contained 2-storey, 2 bedroom apartments with a balcony over-looking the bay – 2 beach cottages which can accommodate 2-3 people – one 2-bedroom family house, fully self-contained with kitchen, living room and a huge veranda which is just a few steps away from the beach – special rates for long term stays or group packages upon request* – restaurant and bar – birthday cakes, etc for special occasions* – Rabaul and WWII tours, on land or by sea *book in advance – snorkeling, fishing and island picnics *book 2 days in advance It is best to call us up in advance to organize for your pickup from the airport. Or even just for info. There are hire car booths located at Tokua Airport and also local taxi services, although they are very costly. To catch a PMV from the airport you will need to take a No#8 van to Kokopo market, a No#1 van from Kokopo to the Rabaul market and then a No#5 van from Rabaul to Kulau Lodge. The bus drivers are usually very friendly and will be more than happy to assist you with more information should you need it. (and they cost easily less than K5 per person & per trip).
